What Is This Charge?

The charge descriptor 'AMZN MKTP US*RH5ND1P82' indicates a purchase made through Amazon Marketplace, which is an online retail platform that allows third-party sellers to sell their products alongside Amazon's own offerings. This descriptor typically appears for transactions involving physical goods or digital products purchased from various sellers on Amazon.

Why You May Not Recognize This Charge

The descriptor includes a prefix 'AMZN MKTP US*' that may confuse customers who are not familiar with Amazon's billing practices. Additionally, the alphanumeric code 'RH5ND1P82' is likely a transaction identifier or seller code, which can make the charge seem unfamiliar, especially if the customer does not recall the specific purchase or seller.

When Should You Be Concerned?

Consider reaching out to your bank or card issuer if you don't recognize this charge, didn't authorize it, or see it appear multiple times without explanation. We don't determine whether a charge is fraudulent — only your bank or the merchant can do that.

What to Do Next

Check your recent purchases and receipts to see if the charge matches anything you bought.
